Welcome to Nurture Play Therapy
Compassionate, creative therapy for children facing anxiety, emotional challenges, family changes, trauma, and more.
I’m Jessica Oliyide, a certified Play Therapist based in Buntingford, Hertfordshire. I help children make sense of their emotions and life experiences through creative play in a calm, safe and accepting space. If your child is struggling with anxiety, low confidence, behavioural difficulties or loss, I’m here to help.

What is Play Therapy?
Play Therapy is a specialist form of child counselling that uses toys, creativity and imagination to help children process difficult emotions. It’s proven to support emotional regulation, confidence, resilience and communication—all through the natural language of play.
Helping Children Navigate Life’s Challenges
I offer therapeutic support to children aged 4–12 who may be experiencing:
- Anxiety or phobias
- Low self-esteem
- Emotional outbursts or regulation issues
- Bereavement or family illness
- Parental separation or divorce
- School refusal or transition struggles
- Behavioural difficulties
- Friendship or social challenges
- Trauma, neglect, or developmental delays
- Autism, ADHD, or PDA
Every child is different. I tailor each therapeutic journey to suit their needs, strengths and pace.

A Nurturing Therapy Space in the Heart of Hertfordshire
Therapy sessions take place weekly in my peaceful garden playroom in Buntingford, where children can explore their feelings through play without fear of judgment. I use a wide range of creative tools including sand trays, puppets, art, music, role play, and sensory materials.
